Ward – Summers House – Upstairs Center Hall. Upstairs center hall, opening to veranda at 2nd floor level. Rosewood piano carted over the Allegheny Mountains long after that, Mrs. Summers bought it for $15. The wide hallways were lined with rocking chairs in the 1890s as a sitting and visiting room for the relatives during large family holiday gatherings in the Wards Time.

Ward – Summer House – Dining Room. Stairway down five steps to door opening to porte cochere. Carved wooden pieces on the silverware chests are knife holders, lid lifts from the middle, and inside are places for each knife to be inserted.
