However, competition increased. There was the regular Orchard Lake One Hundred Dollar Cup, and later the Ward Pelouse One Thousand Dollar Cup. Flapper waits for her steady to gas up the roadster at Fred Wilkins station, corner of Orchard Lake Road and Pontiac Trail. This view looks south down Orchard Lake Road. Gas Station was originally the blacksmith shop for Indian reservation and later toll house for gravel road (later Orchard Lake Road).
