Traffic jam at the same intersection looking west down Pontiac Trail. Man in the foreground is pumping water for his steaming radiator. So many did this the well went dry. Both these views date back to around 1921.

Flapper waits for her steady to gas up the roadster at Fred Wilkins station, corner of Orchard Lake Road and Pontiac Trail. This view looks south down Orchard Lake Road. Gas Station was originally the blacksmith shop for Indian reservation and later toll house for gravel road (later Orchard Lake Road).
