            | Description | 
            Michigan Military Academy - "The Castle," orginally the home of General Joseph Tarr Copeland.  Built in 1858 and became a resort hotel in 1872 (Orchard Lake Hotel).  In 1877, it became the headquarters of the Michigan Military Academy.  In 1909, it became the Rector's residence of the Orchard Lake Seminary. |
